How Bad Do You Want Success by Eric Thomas.

It was young man who wanted to make a lot of money, so he went to this guru, right?

And he told the guru, "You know, I wanna be on the same level you on."

And so the guru said, "If you wanna be on the same level I'm on, I'll meet you tomorrow, at the beach, at 4am"

He thinks, "The beach? I said I wanna make money! I don't wanna swim"

Guru said, "If you wanna money, I'll meet you tomorrow. 4am."

 

So the young man got there, 4am. He's all ready to rock and roll. He got on the suit....he shoulda worn shorts...

The old man grabs his hand, say, "How bad do you wanna be successful?"

He said, "Real bad."

He said, "Walk on out in the water."

So he walks out into the water, listen carefully, when he walks out into the water, he goes waist deep. So he's thinking, "This guy is crazy. How am i gonna make money, he got me out here swimmin'? I didnt ask to be a lifeguard, I wanna make money." 

Guru said, "Come out a little further." So, walked out a little further, then he had it right the shoulder area.

He's thinking, "Yo this ol' man crazy! He makin' money, but he crazy!"

Guru said, "Come out a little farther." So, he came out little farther. It was right at his mouth. He thinkin', "Im 'bout to go back in, he outta his mind."

So the old man said, "I thought you said you wanted to be successful." Man said, "I do!"

Guru said, "Walk a little farther." He came, dropped his head in, held him down, hold him down, the guy scratchin'.

Just before my man was about to pass out, the Guru raised him up. He said, "I got a question for ya."

He said, "When you were underwater, what did you wanna do?!"

He said, "I wanted to BREATHE."

 

He todl the guy, he said, "When you want to succeed, as BAD as you want to breathe, THEN you'll be successful. You dont care about no basketball game! You dont care what's on TV, you dont care about nobody callin' you, you dont care about no damn party! The ONLY thing you care about when you tryin' to breathe, is to get some fresh air. That's it."

"...And when you get to the point, and WHEN you get to the point where all you wanan do is be successful as bad as you want to breathe, THEN you'll be successful."

And I'm here to tell you, number one. That most of say you want to be successful, but you don't want it bad! You just kinda' want it. 

You dont want it badder then you wanna party. You dont want it as much as you wanna be cool. Most of you don't want success as much as you wanna sleep! 

Some of you love sleep more then you love success. And I'm here to tell you today, if you're going to be successful, you've got to be willing to give up sleep. You've got to be willing to work off of three hours of sleep, two hours; If you REALLY wanna be successful, some days, you gonna have to stay up three days in a row!

 

8 Steps to Believing in Yourself

8 steps to believing in yourself and what you’re doing.

 1. Set Goals. When you set goals you have control and have a set time and place for your accomplishments. I personally have never done this until July 20^th 2013 in Denver at an event with my company and longtime friend Stephen Munson. I finally shut up and started my goal cards and it’s been awesome. 

2. Recognize when you achieve your goals, so that you will build your confidence.

 3. Consider reasons you fail. Everyone fails to achieve some goal, but if you learn from the failure, you will be more likely to succeed in the future.

4.  Use realistic expectations to judge your success. Do not expect to run a four minute mile, until you have trained and conditioned to run a four minute mile. You can judge your success by looking at the gap between where you are and where you want to be. This perspective helps you gauge what remains to be done. You can also judge by looking at the progress you've made from 2-3 years ago or 2 months ago. This helps you know how far you have come. Both perspectives are valid

5. Listen to critics, but never let them convince you that you are less than you are. Some critics will tear you down to make themselves look bigger and better, while others will offer critical advice to help you make changes to improve yourself.

6. Give your time and energy to others. When you do this, you will get positive feedback and respect from others. These are building blocks for self-respect...which is essential to believing in yourself.

7. Don't give up on your dreams, goals or aspirations for you never know how right they truly are until you put them into action.

8. Believe in yourself and you will do your best. Believing in yourself is the key to success in life.

My Twins 4th Birthday - Empower Style

MY Twin girls 4th Birthday 


This is one of the best ones why you ask because I finally had the time to spend it with them . I mean I have been with them since birth first one to touch them ( besides doctors ) and the last one to touch them each night. We read a book and a bear hug with a good night kiss each night.

We went to school together of course the have there whole happy birthday banner on which was a little to big but me and mom worked it out with a little trim job couple of staples they were ready to go. There was something today I didn't realize how cool it was and how much I truly missed until I was able to take them and experience it with them instead of on the phone saying once again dad had to work but the next year I will be there . Well guess who's boat didn't come in so I had to swim out to it and making it happen from empower network .

I really enjoyed seeing my kids around there friends at school and all of them singing happy birthday to them. Seeing first hand there faces light up was something I was waiting to do and have finally made that happen. I was truly fed up with watching threw a video or looking at some pictures . I really appreciate the pictures all my family has taken for me in the past but its truly not the same as it is to see in live.

Today I looked at there baby pictures and the photos really hit home today for me 4 short years have flew by and I have missed a lot . NO LONGER will that be the case. Not going to miss the important things to me to make my boss rich.

This is the fuel to fire me up about my own business online . Where i will be setting my own schedule setting my life up as I want it to be no boss life style . Making my own decisions about what's important to me not what other people think .


The older I get the faster this wonderfully thing we call life is going , just like that 4 years have gone by so I thank god I made the decision to work for myself . I made this decision just in time for my family to be there with them daily to experience things with them instead of hearing about it or looking at pictures to be there because life is short and you never know.

Be Honest  ( What is your time really worth )

Nothing better then being able to take your kids to school each day to walk them to class and help them unpack their backpacks To put their lunch bags in there cubbyholes . It gives me goose-bumps just talking and writing about it or when you are able to pick them up take them to a park and watch them grow up in front of your eyes time is everything nowadays because it's so limited . So short of time we all have that is why I started my online career to be able to set my own schedule to do things I want to do Not what someone else is telling me to do I really am going to make my online career worth my while because my ( why )

 has a time limit it has an expiration date (me) I won't always be here so my time with my family is so important that failure is not an option with Empower Network. We as people are not meant to be average we are not made to miss our children grow up because we are at our job (just over broke)  or working a 12 hour a day job. No one meant for it to become that it's just happening to us and we are taking it right to the gut each day and each week we missed something with our family another baseball game or a school play.

 

What are we doing this for a paycheck each week something our kids don't understand all they remember is us not being there , They remember the time spent together not the time their parents had to work overtime to keep the lights on or food on the table. I remember my parents working all the time I didn't understand it then. I played 40 football games in high school my dad I think made it to 6 . I am not mad at him for it I know he did what he had to do to make things happen back then. 

So what is your time worth( BE HONEST you deserve it )  to you and your family is it worth missing all that time for a job you don't like or even hate. We at Empower Network aren't saying this is for everyone to make your own schedule and work online daily we are saying this is for some people and you might be that person or you might not. We are  Empowering people to see there are more options out there to show people you and I do have choices the  choice is up to us.
